New Orleans and Surrounding Areas
This was Laura's House. A large plantation owned and operated by Laura's parents. It was named after Laura by her father. The house set off the ground because in this area of  Mississippi the land is below sea level. Laura's parents had slaves that lived on the property in slave cabins behind the house. The slaves worked the farm and helped Laura's mother in the house. Yes we stopped in New Orleans so the girls could see the city and the French Quarters.
